ABOUT US

Taunton Castle Probus is an association of around 50 retired and semi-retired professional and business men from Taunton and its surrounding areas. It provides regular opportunities for members to meet others in similar circumstances, with similar levels of interest and make new friends.

The Club meets at Taunton Racecourse, Taunton  TA3 7BL, every third Wednesday of the month at 11.15 am. Free car parking is available in front of the Stand. The meeting is held at the Orchard Restaurant on the second floor, accessible by lift and stairs.

Coffee is available from 10.30 am till the start of our meetings. A short Business session is followed at around 11.30 am by a talk of about an hour. Drinks can then be bought at the bar. Lunch is served at 1 pm and lasts till about 2 pm with members seated at tables of about 8 people according to a seating plan decided at random.

The annual subscription which covers the costs of the meeting and speakers currently stands at £40. The charge for a two course lunch is £20.

Our ladies join us twice a year for a Ladies Day meeting in July and Christmas Lunch on the second Wednesday in December.

If you are interested in coming to a meeting to see what we are about, please contact our Secretary by phone on 01823 601022.
